I’m a Veterinary Nurse with a passion for making your doggies look & feel cute! My journey started in 2008 as a Veterinary Assistant in Seattle. Then I moved to California where I studied Criminal Justice & did an internship at the San Francisco Police Department because I had dreams of becoming an Animal Cop (yes that’s a thing…but I veered off that path). I spent 7 years in Hawai'i where I gained more experience & knowledge as a Veterinary Technician in triage & emergency, and general care where I assisted in various surgical procedures. I also had the privilege to work with the only Veterinary Ophthalmologist where I had the opportunity to travel around the Hawaiian Islands & had a unique experience of expanding my knowledge beyond traditional pets to exotic animals - like the Hawaiian Monk Seal, Komodo Dragon, and even Dolphins - a truly eye-opening experience. It’s true what they say, “ the eyes are the windows to your soul”. (But we don’t need to get that deep)
As a teen, I started grooming my dogs and family friends dogs just for fun. In 2018, I decided to take a break from my Veterinary career & launched Wonderfluff Grooming - a cozy home grooming studio where I give one-on-one love and attention to your dog. Building trust is my top priority, so I take the time to understand each pet's unique personality and needs, like if they need to be serenaded where they stare at me with confusion orrrr in most cases, they fall in love (LOL). It's not just a grooming session - it's an experience! So, what's my secret sauce? Patience, understanding, empathy, a whole lot of fun, A LOT of silliness, & love! I'm thrilled to share that with you and your fur babies!
When I'm not snuggling pups, I love to disconnect by exercising my creative side with ceramics, experimenting on recipes, making homemade wine, traveling, surfing and hiking, and just spending time being present outside of the digital world!
